Hi
I have been using Puppy for a little while now and really like MacPup Foxy 3. However I am having a few problems and wonder if you could help.
1. I want to do a remaster but cant do this successfully. I run Mac pup from a USB stick. When I click on remaster it asks me to insert the original CD which I do. At the appropriate point I copy over the Root directory to /tmp/root and I also add my Office sfs file at the appropriate point. An Iso is created. I save the remaster on my harddiskbut when I burn a CD it will not boot. If i recall correctly after reading the drive I just get the word boot on the screen. There were also problems with the process. When I copy the root directory Rox asks for confirmation of overwriting files on a single file basis. There is no option to tick overwrite all files. On some occasions I have managed to get this to happen by ticking Force and Quiet in the dialogue box but these options do not seem to be always available and I am a little unsure what is going on. It seems unbelievable that file copy does not have an option to overwrite all but I cant seem to locate it.
2. I was also wondering if I could use the files created in PuppyLiveCD Directory during the Remaster process to create a new Usb stick for booting without the need for burning a CD first?
3. How do I edit the xorg.conf file to accept my monitor resolution. I have tried but the edit does not seem to hold on next reboot. I have an intel card. If i get this right will this crispen the fonts or is this achieved by loading a new font set?
Thanks in advance for your help.
