Hello!
First of all, I must say that I really like Macpup. Cause i'm a newbie here and looking for a nice and lightweight linux. I tried couple of distro, but they were really heavy to run in old computer, until i found this puppy -which is a lightweight distro (this is the first thing i need) and start using it.
I have Macpup Foxy E17 FULL Installed on my hard drive, with GRUB bootloader and everything work just fine. But now, i want to change it to Macpup Foxy 2.0. The installation was fine until the bootloader intallation. I can't update or re-install bootloader. Even with simple or expert mode, if i choose simple, it will direct me to expert mode.
I just want to run Macpup 2.0 with bootloader on my MBR, is there any one could help me with this?

You need to change the gtk theme in Fox 2 to any of the other themes but Black-fate. after that the grub installer will work . This only affect the grub installer everything else works fine and after the install black-fate will be the theme. You will be good to go after that.

Thanks for the reply.
I just solve it by intalling bootloader via E17.But again, i have a little problem here.
how to add some widget on my desktop and how to change the font colour in the menu ?
i already install pwidget, but the only widget i have, just a clock widget on my desktop, if i add some or all the rest of the widget listed in pwidget apps, it won't work.
Any suggestion?Thanks before.

I cant help you with pwidget, I have never used them. I think they need the rox pinboard to work and icewm dosent use it.You will need to hack the icewm theme to change the color of the menus.

can't find a better combination.
but... if i used my computer for hours, my eyes won't focus anymore to read all the menus or typing something in terminal (...sorry...it's my old eyes...)Many thanks,

i've changed the gtk theme, but i'm still getting the expert grub install, which doesn't actually install anything: on reboot, all i get is a grub prompt...not a plan for the microserf i'm building this machine for:-(
any hints on getting this working would b most appreciated..

The only thing that has effected the grub install is the gtk theme ,if its still not working I would think the download was bad. Are you running Foxy 2.0 or a different macpup?
