Glad you got Macpup installed.
If you are sure you have no driver for your wireless chip. First go into
Where the start button on the far left of bottom taskbar which is called a shelve.
applications>system>PuPscan interface information
and look for your wireless card. If a driver is loaded it will be under the wireless card. Here is mine for a reference on my IBM T23 running a Belkin Wireless G PCMCIA external Cardbus.

Kernel Module: rt61pci is my driver for my wireless card.
If nothing is listed under Wireless info in PuPscan interface information as far as a driver goes.
Download 01mickos pet package and just left click on the pet package and install it.

You might see this driver already installed maybe in PuPscan interface information . In which case you won't need the pet and your only problem is your procedure in trying to connect.
