That's good news Aen!
Thanks for sharing what you found.
... ah, here it is ... http://www.browserlinux.com/
Think maybe I'll try the Mplayer and Java plug-ins there too.
Nice find, BTW ... I tried it and it's fast!

Thanx

Thanks again for your reply Timber. I could not find a .PET for Google Chrome until I stumbled on to Puppy Browser Linux Download page. Low and behold they have a .PET package for both the stable (BETA) and development (DEV) packages. In fact, I am using it now with MacPup and it seems to work fine.

If anyone else is interested they should go to the Browser Linux page, download and install the package for Chrome by clicking on the package icon and letting the installer do its thing. The instructions for Browser Linux say you need to reboot, but that was not the case for MacPup Foxy. What a great distro!!

Hi Aen,

I'm not really sure but it can't hurt to try.
Do you know how to use the Puppy Package Manager?
You can enable two more repositories 4 and Woof there then do a search for it.
Seems like I saw either a .pet or saw it in the repositories.
I know there is a light browser based on semonkey called gtkmoz-0.3-uj which may work well in MP.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Timber for your reply. I like Firefox better than Opera myself. Have also tried Google Chrome in Linux Mint and really liked it, but have not seen it as a Puppy .pet Also liked SeaMonkey in other versions of Puppy - would that work in MacPup Foxy 3?

Opera-9.23 is available from the Puppy Package Manager (PPM) and is likel one of the quicker browsers. Haven't tried Dillo but it's a small footprint so probably fast also.
I still use Firefox myself since I'm just used to it and like it.

Good Luck in your quest!

I would like to explore other - "faster" - browsers to use with Macpup Foxy 3.0. beside Firefox.
If anyone is using something else that is compatible with Foxy 3.0 I'd like to know about it.
Cheers
