I know it is a older post. Just for info. I don't usually run Windows except for tuning Motorcycles.Proprietary Windows only Software requires it(its expensive to). So I have a Windows 2000 Pro partition on one of my Puppy/AntiX/Windows Laptops. Found out that using Freeware
http://www.imgburn.com/
is a pretty fool proof way to keep from burning coasters in Windows when wanting to burn a Iso bootable CD or DVD.

Thanks for trying Macpup.

Did you burn the ISO to a CD with a image burn option or manually take all files and write them to the CD?

Does your PC boot from CD?

I downloaded the MacPup Opera61 ISO last night, and using Infra Recorder burned it to what I thought was going to be a boot disk. So far I have burned 10 of these "coasters" using 3 different burners, I have been hung up on this for hours and nothing I do seems to get me any closer to getting an install on an old computer I want to teach my grandson with. I have checked the files with Explorer, and ISO Buster and they all seem to be there there are 11 Files Showing in the E:\Macpup_Ppera61 Folder along with the Boot Folder and the Grub Folder as a sub folder in the Boot folder.
The 11 Files are as Follows
BOOT.CAT
BOOT.MSG
BOOT000,CAT
desktop.ini
HELP.MSG
INTRD.GZ
ISOLINUX.BIN
ISOLINUX.CFG
LOGO.16
PUP_420M.SFS
