Yes, now I understand. So maybe I can add this as an alternative installation method on the website.
edit: I have added this as an alternate install method on the website. Do let me know if you see anything to be changed.

I think so, yes.
There's no need to unpack the Pritlog package on the local user's computer. And there's no need to use a FTP program for uploading. In fact, you don't need to have such a program installed. I don't think many bloggers have Filezilla or a similar program on their computer.
And the upload is just the 17.9 kb of the compressed package.

But perhaps the title should have been: "An even easier installation".

Would this be faster than the installation method mentioned on the website?

An even faster installation: (works in vista-panel, not tested in other cPanels)

* Download the package.
* Make sure you have a web hosting account that has PHP enabled.
* Open the Control Panel on your website host.
* Create a new folder called "blog" or whatever you like.
* Click "upload", choose "Archives((zip, tar, tgz, gz)" and browse to the Pritlog package on
your computer. Upload. (the uploaded package is unpacked automatically)
* Change the permissions of this folder to 755.
* Open the config.php file and change settings as required.
* Now navigate to this location using your browser (Example: http://yoursite.com/blog/)
* You are all set to test, blog and enjoy!<blockquote/>

Hi andesurendar,

Here's a description of the installation:

Installation

If this is your first time installing:

    * Download the package and extract the contents to your hard disk.
* Make sure you have a web hosting account that has PHP enabled.
* Open the config.php file and change settings as required.
* Connect to your hosting account using an FTP client.
* Create a folder on your website host called "blog" or whatever you want to call this new blog.
* Change the permissions of this folder to 755.
* Upload the contents (with the modified config.php) to this folder using the FTP client.
* Now navigate to this location using your browser (Example: http://yoursite.com/blog/)
* You are all set to test, blog and enjoy!

This was copied from the Pritlog website:

http://hardkap.net/pritlog/pmwiki.php?n=Pritlog.Installation

Goodluck!
