Yes. This should be better as we can track the progress easily.

I have installed the plugin that you sent through the PM. Lets see if that works. Maybe individual users have to enable it as mentioned on the plugin page.

Thanks a lot Prit for your very helpful replies.
For the sake of simplicity and readability of this forum, I think I asked too many things in one post. So, I'll continue with several new posts, one for each subject. Okay?

I will try to address the wish department here. :)

* free and accurate positioning of pictures in posts.

I have used a freely available simple and lightweight WYSIWYG editor for Pritlog. I am not sure if this has the functionality to do image positioning. What I did when I needed this is to do an HTML edit (this is a button on the editor) and position it using html. Not very user friendly though.

* text flow around pictures...( maybe this is beyond the goal of Pritlog)

Again, the same explanation as the above.

* translatable menu.. As it is, it looks like I'm lacking the skills to find what to change in the code.

I am not sure what you mean by this. Can you please explain?

* an easy templating system, allowing the use of universal templates, found on the net : http://www.freecsstemplates.org/, http://www.opendesigns.org/, http://www.openwebdesign.org/, http://www.oswd.org/

I don't think any templating system would be able to handle these universal templates unless the templates are built specifically for the templating system. Please correct me if I am not right.
I do want to do a templating system, but not sure if that would bloat the project. I have been reading a lot on different templating systems, but unable to find a simple and lightweight one(Puppy philosophy).

* ummm, dare I ask it, a preview function in posts.

I think this might be easy to achieve. But we can always edit or delete posts and this is why I did not do it.

I've been playing a bit with Pritlog and yes, it's nice. Congratulations.

Thanks a lot Bert for testing Pritlog and for all your feedback.

Now let me try to address the bugs mentioned:

* when clicking a category in the left menu, it says: "no entries yet", even if there are.

This is a valid bug. This was not found earlier because this happens only when the category name has more than 1 word (or spaces in between). This will have to be fixed in the next release

* pictures can not be added to the comments. But maybe this is intentional. I know I once added a picture in a comment on Barry's blog.

This was intentional as the comments can be added easily by anybody without any moderation. So I did not want visitors to be able to post offensive stuff without a moderation. I am not sure if I should be changing this.

* I cannot "sign" posts or comments as "admin/Admin" Perhaps I did something wrong. Anyway, it's not a problem for me.

This is something I took from PPLOG - where I got the idea for Pritlog from. Admin/admin etc are on the list of user names that are not allowed. You can change this in the config file that comes with Pritlog.

* not a bug, but I find it hard to understand the difference between posts and pages Embarassed Pages don't seem to be just static pages, taken out of the blog roll..? It would be nice if you could explain this a little on your site..

Again from PPLOG. Pages are regular posts, but if you select a post to be a page, then it has a direct link on the menu on the front page. This would be the only difference.

Hi Prit,

Thanks for your reply.

I've been playing a bit with Pritlog and yes, it's nice. Congratulations.

You're probably aware of the little bugs that still plague it?
Just to be sure:

* when clicking a category in the left menu, it says: "no entries yet", even if there are.

* pictures can not be added to the comments. But maybe this is intentional. I know I once added a picture in a comment on Barry's blog.

* I cannot "sign" posts or comments as "admin/Admin" Perhaps I did something wrong. Anyway, it's not a problem for me.

* not a bug, but I find it hard to understand the difference between posts and pages Embarassed Pages don't seem to be just static pages, taken out of the blog roll..? It would be nice if you could explain this a little on your site..

The wishes department Wink :

* free and accurate positioning of pictures in posts.
* text flow around pictures...( maybe this is beyond the goal of Pritlog)
* translatable menu.. As it is, it looks like I'm lacking the skills to find what to change in the code.
* an easy templating system, allowing the use of universal templates, found on the net : http://www.freecsstemplates.org/, http://www.opendesigns.org/, http://www.openwebdesign.org/, http://www.oswd.org/
* ummm, dare I ask it, a preview function in posts..

The above is not meant to shock you. Smile

For the moment I'm trying out Pritlog on a free php host: http://verbertus.000hosted.com/blog/index.php?option=mainPage

Thanks for Pritlog!
I think I am one of many, hoping you'll continue to develop it.
