&#60;p&#62;The application menus have all the puppylinux menus including the wallpaper and theme stuff for the JWM wm , which do nothing in e17. If you switch wm's those controls work.

			<description>&#60;p&#62;Found the answer.  Go to Settings (on the main menu and then use Wallpaper).  Don't use The Wallpaper 0.5.3 program in Applications Desktop.
