Thanks Charles.

Yes, you might be able to change it to a comma. But, then you will have to locate places in the Pritlog script where this gets used and probably change that too. My recommendation would be to leave it alone as going away from the default Pritlog code will cause trouble when you try to upgrade later.

Hi Prit,

No problem. I didn't have that many to change. :) Even if I did, It still wouldn't be a problem. You can only do so much in the time you have to work on Pritlog and sometimes you can't catch everything. Heck, I'm going to have to change a hand full of nine week grades for my students because I forgot to grade some papers (oops).

While I am posting, I was thinking about the authors file. I noticed it uses #~# as a separator and I'm wondering, can I change the separator to a comma (,)?

Regards,

hi fastidioso,

I just figured it out when I edited a post. :) I didn't realize that Prit had put the change in 0.811 that forces you to change the problem for the tags before you can repost.

Thanks fastidioso for reporting the bug. I had made changes to Pritlog in how it handles spaces in the tags due to another error that was reported. I will need to figure out the best way to handle it now.

Feel free to share your italian translation here.

Hello,
first of all thanks for the wonderful script "pritlog.
I found and manually resolved the following problem:
After upgrading to 0811 tags with spaces, such as "old news", are displayed as "old.news".

Thanks again

Ciao!

fastidioso

PS: I've also done a translation in Italian, but my English is bad, so do not think it helpful to share:)

Thanks for testing it out.

The site is very slow because it runs on my desktop machine. :)

I understand that the category selection/creation is not the best method. I will add it to the list for adding to a later version.

The tag/category on the top of the site can be disabled from the admin menu.

Thanks for sharing your site. I work as a mainframe programmer for my profession. I do php as a hobby. Writing an app will definitely help you learn php.

thanks for your e-mail..i am really appreciate it.

i have done some test (SPAMMING TEST on many aspects) to http://test.prit.us/pritlog

and you can see my comment on that test site. sorry if i give little trash/garbage to your test site

that's just test.

hmm this release (0.811 alpha 2) is better than before. hmm this site load is very slow( i dont know this is because of the server or script hehehe )

just some opinion..
can you make a ADD CATEGORY FORM separated from NEW ENTRY FORM..
so we didn't write same category again. so if we post new entry, we just pick category from Drop Down Menu.
btw sorry, i didn't very like with category menu on top of site. hehehe it looks not neat, hahaha but nevermind, that's not big problem. actually i like top menu for example " Home | About | Friend " with same case and color.

btw, this is my website/mobile site( about manga in indonesia )

http://idmanga.uni.cc

heheehe just introducing my site (this site doesn't use your script yet, i still use my blog script. but i have problem because i can't make script with flat database like yours...hahaha. also i can't make page and rss feed for my blog script. actually i am still very very beginner)

okay... thanks for your attention. sorry if i am very talkative. :D

Thanks prit.
btw i found many problem similar with comment form problem above.
for example after we post"blog", it will appear something like "blog submit"page (i forgot), yup, after we refresh that page,it will always post same blog.

hmm can you erase the message page like "comment added. thanks" or "blog submitted" or other message that related with submitting form. i think ERROR MESSAGE should be one page with COMMENT/BLOG form.

and for example after we comment, it will not appear Message Page, but it will redirect to Full Post Page with Comment, so we can use header("Location : "); to redirect to that page. so we will get minor message page or message is one page with Full Post Page/Comment page.Thanks... Sorry if my english Bad.hehehehe

I had trouble with using non-default server ports, i.e. my local server is running on localhost:8080, and Pritlog simply doesn't work properly. I went through the code and made a few changes to all the references to $serverName... I changed it to $serverName.$serverPort... and now all is well! Would be something to resolve in a future release; I guess $serverName should really include the port number also, but I haven't studied the code in any great detail yet.

I really like this app, it just does one thing well and uses sqlite which makes it very portable. A big thank you!

I have made this fix to Beta 1. Thanks again John.

But, since the livevalidation takes over during submit, it should produce the error without giving the control back to PHP. So the error must be handled correctly.

John ... I didnt pay much attention to this as the livevalidation javascript should take care of checking the minimum length and also comparing the new passwords to see if they match. So the second php validation will never get activated. Did you find that this is not the case?

But, this is definitely a bug in that the passwords never get passed to the submit function. I will implement your fix. Thanks a lot John.

Prit,

I'm trying to implement the ban author feature, and I found a bug in the administration page:

adminPageAuthors()
- in the foreach loop that generates the form for editing existing authors
- password fields use name and id = newpass'.$i.'1 and newpass'.$i.'2

adminAuthorsEdit()
- BUG: when submitting the form, validation will always indicate lenght error no matter if using > 5 chars

              if ($_POST['newpass1'] != $_POST['newpass2']) {
echo $lang['errorNewPasswordsMatch']."";
$do = 0;
}
if (strlen($_POST['newpass1']) < 5) {
echo $lang['errorPassLength'].'';

- it seems to me that $_POST['newpass1'] and $_POST['newpass2'] never get the values from the form (ie. when editing the 3rd existing author, pass fields would be posted as newpass21 and newpass22

- I guess one solution is to add a hidden field with the "$i part" to get the correct field name/id. It also seems that validation could be removed in adminAuthorsEdit() as those fields are already validaded before submitting the form.

1. I added to adminPageAuthors():
echo '<input name="i" type="hidden" id="i" value="'.$i.'">';

2. modified adminAuthorsEdit() to use:

$i= $_POST['i'];
$newPass1='newpass'.$i.'1';
$newPass2='newpass'.$i.'2';

and finally replaced $_POST['newpass1'] with $_POST[$newpass1] (same for newpass2)
